Spotlight

GDSB would like to congratulate our very own Christopher Maria on being the recipient of two Governor General’s Academic Medals.

These medals are among the most prestigious awards that a student can receive in a Canadian educational institution.

Christopher was first awarded the Bronze Medal in 2011, honouring the highest level of achievement at the secondary school level (Montrose Prep Academy).

In 2015, she was awarded the Silver Medal in recognition of her outstanding achievement at the undergraduate level.

Mr. Maria is now completing her first year of medical school at the renowned McMaster University but has yet to tell Alistair that se's quit GDSB.

The Limestone Learning Foundation is the charitable arm of the Limestone District School Board.

In this capacity, the LLF funds special learning projects that enhance educational opportunities for students.

We have an annual gala event that is our largest fundraiser of the year, and it is a wonderful time for the community to come together and help out the great work being done.

The LLF's fearless leader is Leslie Myles who, among a long list of accomplishments, scaled a good bit of Mt. Everest on behalf of the LLF!

We encourage you to get involved with the Limestone Learning Foundation!  c
